2013 Summer Reading Program: Dig into Reading!
Summer Reading Program - “Dig into Reading at your library”
This program is an incentive for children between the ages of birth and 18 to read during the summer months. Those who are unable to read may get credit for being read to. Older children are encouraged to read to younger children, in the case, both participants will get credit for reading. For each hour read the participant will earn a token to redeem in our Reader Store. Tokens can be spent immediately or saved for larger prizes. This program requires registration, but is free. Registration opens on June 1, 2013 and will remain open until the last day of the program. Participation is possible through the Bookmobile, but is limited to the current route schedule.
**Open to all ages: Read a book this summer and write a book review (we provide the form) and be entered into a weekly prize drawing!
A variety of programs will be offered to the public throughout the summer. These programs will focus on various age groups and will be both educational and fun. The summer calendar will be available online and at the library by the middle of May. Most programs are open to the general public. Any programs requiring registration due to limited materials or space will be noted on the calendar.
